Green Aprons Lead the Way at Lunchtime

In each lunch a group of Discovery student helpers monitor the recycling/compost/landfill cans. The helper students get their green aprons on and are ready for the line of classmates with their red trays.

These lunchtime helpers have a very important job of teaching the students going through line where they should put their food, napkins and silverware!

Thanks to our devoted lunchtime student helpers, Discovery is composting food and napkins every day. They also make sure all the milk cartons are recycled. Even more importantly, they are helping to teach lifelong skills about sorting our compost/recycling/landfill.
