Culture Museum Walk

Students stand next to displays about India and Canada

3rd graders spent about 6 weeks researching a culture of their choosing.  They took notes on their chosen culture focusing on cultural universals, creating paragraphs on each.  Each cultural universal required a text feature or artifact and were then displayed on a tri-fold poster board.

Students were invited to bring additional artifacts and food from the culture to display at the Culture Museum Walk.  Families and caregivers were invited to attend the Culture Museum Walk and the students rotated between all three of the 3rd grade classes to see their peers’ finished product.

It was full of energy, enthusiasm, education and joy and we had a wonderful turn-out!
