Welcome to Discovery Elementary School!

Principal Rachel Pearson

I am so excited to join the Discovery community as your new principal. It is a privilege to be part of a school known for its diversity, academic excellence, and warm and welcoming community. At Discovery, we are committed to creating an environment where all students feel seen, valued, and supported in their learning and growth. I look forward to meeting our students and families and partnering with you to ensure a joyful and successful school year for your learner!

It is truly the people who make Discovery such a special place, from our dedicated and compassionate educators, engaged and supportive families, and most importantly, our amazing Eagle students. Together, we are a vibrant community of life-long learners, united by a shared commitment to inclusion, academic achievement, and personal development. I am excited to meet each of you and to partner in the success of every child!

Our staff is deeply committed to nurturing both the academic and social-emotional growth of our students. We offer high-quality instruction in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies, as well as enriching experiences in the arts, music, and physical education. Equally important is our work to ensure every child feels a strong sense of belonging and is empowered to grow with confidence and curiosity.

As we prepare for the 2025–26 school year, please keep the following important dates in mind:

  • Enrollment Verification Process (EVP) Online: August 7th – 13th
  • First Day of School, Grades 1–5: August 28th
  • Curriculum Night (ECE, Transition to Kindergarten, Kindergarten): September 3rd
  • First Day of Kindergarten: September 3rd
  • First Day of ECE: September 5th
  • First Day of Transition to Kindergarten: Group A -Sept 5th, Group B- Sept 9th
  • Curriculum Night (Grades 1–5): September 19th
  • Parent-Teacher Conferences: Nov 12th & 13th
