Welcome to Discovery Elementary School! Discovery is a diverse, inclusive and kind community of life-long learners committed to fostering a strong sense of belonging for all our students in order to support their academic, personal and social growth. We are glad that you are a part of our special learning community! It is the people who make our learning community so special and unique. From the committed and compassionate educators who make up our staff to the engaged and supportive families who partner in the education of our students, and most importantly, to our incredible students themselves, Discovery is made great by the people who call our school home. We look forward to continuing to build this community together this school year!
As we prepare for the 2023-24 school year, following are a few important dates at Discovery to keep on your calendars:
- Enrollment Verification Process (EVP) Online: August 7-13
- First Day of School, 1st-5th Grades: August 29th
- Curriculum Night (ECE, Transition to Kindergarten, Kindergarten & 1st grade): August 31st, 6:00 p.m.
- First Day of Kindergarten & ECE: September 1st
- First Day of School for Transition to Kindergarten: Group A- Sept 7th, Group B- Sept 11th
- Curriculum Night (Grades 2-5): September 7, 6:00 p.m.
- Parent Teacher Conferences: November 8th & 9th

The Discovery community will work collaboratively to provide a safe, engaging, supportive, and challenging environment, ensuring that all students reach their highest potential in academics and citizenship while honoring their personal strengths.
I acknowledge that I am on the Indigenous Land of Coast Salish people who have reserved treaty rights to this land, specifically the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe (sdukʷalbixʷ). I thank these caretakers of this land who have lived and continue to live here since time immemorial.
