Principal Message

Welcome to Discovery Elementary School!

I am excited to welcome you to another great year at Discovery Elementary for the 2026–27 school year! I am grateful for the support and partnership you have shown over the past year as I have joined the community, and I look forward to continuing to learn and grow together.

It is truly the people who make Discovery such a special place, from our dedicated and compassionate educators, engaged and supportive families, and most importantly, our amazing Eagle students. Together, we are a vibrant community of lifelong learners, united by a shared commitment to inclusion, academic excellence, and personal development.

Our staff is deeply committed to nurturing both the academic and social-emotional growth of our students. We provide high-quality instruction in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies, along with enriching experiences in the arts, music, and physical education. Equally important is our ongoing work to ensure every child feels a strong sense of belonging and is empowered to grow with confidence, curiosity, and joy. When students feel connected as part of our Eagle community, they are better equipped to learn, thrive, and reach their full potential.

As we prepare for the 2026–27 school year, please keep the following important dates in mind:

• Wednesday, August 26, 2026 – Meet the Teacher Event (9:30 AM, all grades)
• Wednesday, August 26, 2026 – Kindergarten Only Curriculum Night (5:00 PM, parent or caregiver only)
• Thursday, August 27, 2026 – First Day of School (Grades 1–5)
• Tuesday, September 1, 2026 – First Day of Kindergarten Students
