On March 18, 2024, the state DOH released new guidance regarding "What to do when you are sick with COVID-19 or another respiratory virus." Another resource that may be helpful for our families, staff and community: the "Is My Child Too Sick to Go to School?" guidance from our district nurses.

The Issaquah School District is selecting new middle school Social Studies instructional materials for grades 6 and 7. The selection committee has narrowed down the choices and is considering two different materials at each grade level. Families are invited to preview the materials and offer input.

The selection committee has narrowed down the choices to one curriculum: World History Interactive published by Savvas, and is inviting families to provide feedback on the curriculum.

Reminder for those interested: Please submit your artwork for the printed Student Art Calendar for the 2024-25 school year. Submissions of all types of visual artwork that can be displayed in the calendar are accepted and encouraged including painting, drawing, sculpture, digital art, photography, and ceramics. Artwork will be accepted until midnight on Tuesday, April 16.

During the Bond Advisory Committee’s fourth meeting on March 12, committee members heard presentations about districtwide initiatives including Special Services; Athletics and Activities; Secondary Innovation and CTE (Career and Technical Education). The committee’s next meeting is scheduled for 5:30-7:30 p.m. on March 26.
